New in to the shop is this sweet electric blue ’34 Ford hot rod. The owner recently purchased it from interstate and has a few small jobs to be done before it can go for its NSW roadworthiness inspection, so we’re giving it some attention before turning it loose on Newcastle roads.

Don’t cop the flash metallic paint, fully trimmed interior, big-inch Billet Specialties rollers and lashings of chrome and polished details and think this is some soft street rod. Under those chrome rocker covers sits a tough 427-cube Ford mill ready to turn the fat rear treads into smoke at each stab of the throttle.

We’ll show you a bit more of the car once we’re done with it and the fat machine is ready to leave the USS crew.
